What is By A Thread?

We're a women's clothing boutique located in Bellefonte Pennsylvania.  Learn about us and our "why" here.

What do you sell?

We sell new clothing, accessories, and footwear.  We hand select high quality, versatile pieces that you can reach for year after year.  We love flattering pieces that are trendy, but appropriate for what we like to call the "everyday girl".  The girl that needs something to wear that is appropriate for a work day, a special event, or date night. We are a verified Kinsley Armelle jewelry retailer, as well as one of less than 50 Vintage Havana retailers in the state of Pennsylvania.  We carry Erimish bracelets and accessories from local makers as well.

What don't you sell?

We do not carry "fast fashion" pieces.  That is, cheap garments designed for a few wears before they start falling apart.  We pride ourselves on carrying quality items that you will be able to wash and wear for years to come.  We do not carry pieces designed for an unrealistic runway model body (the 6'1" 120lb type).  We strive to carry items the everyday girl can feel good about wearing whether they are XS or XL.

How do your items fit?

We hand select items that are both flattering and generous.  We are not a crop top brand!  Our goal is to provide versatile pieces that are appropriate for both a work day and a night out.  We include sizing recommendations in our product descriptions as we try every piece on personally.  If you're unsure about sizing just shoot us a message and we will help you out!
